He expects us to take him at his word
From Gnomon Chronicles
A man says he has "Accepted Jesus in his heart."
But can he *prove* it?
No. He expects us to take him at his word.
Suppose this man believes in Satan, the Father of Lies … why should we trust a man who *could be speaking with the voice Satan*—?

Version
Proving consciousness is like when a man says that he has "accepted Jesus as my Savior."
He can't offer any *evidence*. He expects us to *take him at his word*.
This, from a religion which posits a Devil — the Father of Lies — who can possess a man and make that man say anything.
