Yes. Yes, I do. All other things being equal, I do want to live forever.
However, if there is one thing — no, two things — I have learned from stories:
—All other things are never equal in stories
—In stories about Immortals, there is typically someone who wants that Immortal dead, often that self-same Immortal
Nonetheless, at this time, I want to live forever.
They say that No Man is an Island.
In fact, Every Man is a Drowning Sailor. (Thank God we have each other for company as we tread away the waters of our lives!)
Somebody has to evolve flotation bladders, or something, and stop drowning all the time.
