Reality play (reality drama) is a genre of live entertainment, usually consisting of dialogue between characters, portraying supposedly unscripted real-life situations, and often featuring an otherwise unknown cast of individuals who are typically not professional actors, intended for live theatrical performance rather than just appearing on reality TV shows, although celebrities occasionally participate in reality plays.
Reality plays are performed at a variety of levels, from Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theater, to Community theatre, as well as university or school productions.
