It would be different if he were not President.
I was raised with "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything."
But he is President. That puts him outside the bounds of polite courtesy.
He is of course a child of God; we are all but grass.
But he is the President, alas.

By "outside the bounds of polite courtesy" I mean the President, as a public official, must take the heat from anyone who criticizes him.
