We both agreed that the crisis is coming very soon and that convoying is the only solution and that it must come practically at once.

Tatsusei Yogi: March 24, 1945
Early morning air raid again. Another whole day in the cave. To the south we could hear the sounds of bombs from airplanes and artillery from the warships, and these sounds continued until evening.
Tomorrow we must seek a safer place by going toward Kunigami.
