"Only the work matters" is a short poem by Karl Jones.
Text
Context: "MOST of the time, you have no legitimate reason to care what others may be thinking of you."
Prelude: Time spent caring what others think of you is time lost.
Do your work.
Only the work matters.
In the News
I shall rip down the stars from the heavens with my bare hands if I must, but by God I shall not be dull.
Work! Only work! Soon the sun shall fail and die, and darkness shall cover the cosmos. I must complete my Universal Illuminator before that dismal time arrives.
