Radioactive black ooze is a hazardous waste material found just north of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant near Paducah, Kentucky.
The discovery of the ooze seeping from the ground a quarter-mile from the U.S.-owned uranium diffusion plant buttressed workers' claims of unlicensed dumping of hazardous waste outside the factory fence.
