This is the *perfect* setting for my neo-Cthulhu tale of North American Settler-Abominations in the New Jersalem.
Which, if you consider the historical old Jerusalem, is some grim shit indeed. Do you have any idea what old Jerusalem *smelled* like? The skin diseases? The everyday leprosy—?
